DAATH Guitarist Interviewed By JamPlay
November 17, 2009JamPlay recently conducted an interview with Emil Werstler of Atlanta's DAATH, an up-and-coming talent in the guitar scene and the newest JamPlay instructor. Watch the chat below.
In a recent entry of his "Jumping Darkness Parade" blog for MetalSucks, DAATH guitarist Eyal Levi revealed that he and Werstler are working on a record with CYNIC drummer Sean Reinert, to be released in the spring of 2010 on Magna Carta Records. He also indicated that DAATH will return to the studio in April 2010 to begin recording the follow-up to this year's "The Concealers".
DAATH's sophomore album, "The Concealers" debuted at No. 35 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"The Concealers" was released in April through Century Media Records (via a partnership with Roadrunner Records). The album was produced and mixed by Jason Suecof and Mark Lewis (TRIVIUM, ALL THAT REMAINS, DEVILDRIVER).
DAATH filmed a video for "Day Of Endless Light" in March in the band's hometown of Atlanta with director Robin Fuller (GHOST OF A THOUSAND, SHAPED BY FATE).
